Bring Torches is a genre-bending rock band just back from 2044. Think Gorillaz meet Dr Who. Led by human / bull hybrid MERF and his musical partner Ike Lannigan (wink, wink) the band is pre-introducing their future debut album "Secession Of The Plebs" including 6 original songs and a rocking remake of the classic socialist anthem Le Internationale. Influences can be heard from prog and punk, to power pop and ska on songs with a conscious, and some lighter girls and cars romps. Formed in 2044 in dystopian Philadelphia, Bring Torches (BT) mastered the art of time travel to trip-up their fascist overlords and liberate a one-time servant class known as Morphs – human animal hybrids, genetically engineered to do society’s dirty work. MERF, an OG Morph, worked in the shadows on his time machine and then perfected it after going to work for Lannigan in his musical electronics shop. Spreading the word can’t help but change the future.
